Thieves break into Kebbi church, steal N1.6m musical instruments

Suspected thieves on Tuesday broke into a church, Chapel of Grace in Badariya area of Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State, and stole musical instruments worth N1.6 million.

 The pastor of the church and chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Birnin Kebbi LGA, Ibrahim Maihikima, disclosed this to newsmen on Tuesday.

He said, ‘’The thieves came in the middle of the night, broke the metal of the windows to gain access to the church and made away with our musical instruments worth N1.6m.”

 He further said that, “They ransacked the entire premises in search of cash, but there was none kept in the church.

“We have lodged a complaint at the police station and the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) have commenced an investigation into the matter.”
