The management of the North East Development Commission (NEDC) visited Adamawa State to inspect ongoing projects funded by the commission.
The tour was led by the chairman of the agency’s governing board, General Paul Tarfa (retired).
The visit, Tarfa said, was to assess the progress of the ongoing projects and identify areas requiring further attention.
The team inspected the construction of a new accident and emergency complex at the Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital (MAUTH), which aims to enhance emergency medical services in the region with modern facilities and equipment.
The team also visited a mega secondary school project in Song, which consists of 48 classrooms and is expected to improve the quality of education in the region.
They also visited a technical training centre in Girei LGA, where they observed the progress being made in training 300 youths in various agricultural skills.
The team paid a courtesy visit to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in the Government House, Yola, where they introduced the new members of the reconstituted management team.
