The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Delta State Sector Command, has deployed a total of 549 personnel for the Eid El-Kabir celebrations in the state.

Sector Commander, Udeme Bassey Eshiet, who disclosed this on Tuesday to newsmen in Asaba, also disclosed the deployment of 15 patrol vehicles, two power bikes, one tow truck and three ambulances.

He gave the breakdown of the personnel deployed to the state to include 101 officers, 298 marshals and 150 Special Marshals.

Similarly, the FCT Commissioner of Police, Haruna Garba, has assured residents of the safety of their lives and property.

CP Garba, in a statement by the command’s spokeswoman, DSP Adeh Josephine, said the command had re-appraised the security disposition and deployed adequate human and material resources across the nooks and crannies of the FCT.

She said the deployment, which comprised all tactical and intelligence machinery of the command, anchored by interagency cooperation, was distinguished by strengthened visibility policing at all praying grounds.

She added that security had also been deployed at other places such as social gatherings, stop-and-search duty, raids on black spots and uncompleted buildings, highway and border patrol, aggressive vehicle and foot patrol, surveillance and diversion points around praying grounds.
