The Executive Secretary of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), Hamid Bobboyi, says N2bn has been earmarked for the 2022 National Personnel Audit (NPA).
He said the audit had commenced in 17 states in the South East and South South; while the northern phase, covering 19 states and the Federal Capital Territory, would begin on July 4 and end on July 23.

He spoke in Abuja yesterday during the 2022 National Personnel Audit briefing.
He said the availability of credible data remained a major challenge in basic education implementation.
He said the 2022 personnel audit should be seen in the light of updating the basic education database created in 2022.
He said enumerators would visit all basic education institutions in the country.
Chairman, 2022 NPA, Prof. Bala Zakari, said the commission had generated a list of basic schools in each local government area from State Universal Basic Education Boards to address issues of hard-to-reach areas and places with security challenges.
