The Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON) has conferred the Mandatory Conformity Assessment Programme Certificate (MANCAP) to 102 products that are produced by various industries in Kano State.
Director General of the SON, Mallam Farouk Salim disclosed this while issuing certificates to the various companies that get certified by the organisation, which reaffirmed its determination in ensuring the standardisation of Nigerian products, aimed at competing with the global market.
Represented by the Zonal Director, Kano zonal office, Mr Albert Wilberforce, the DG said the objective of issuing the MANCAP certificate to the companies was to certify that their products have made the mandatory conformity assessment program.

He said the certificates presented to the 102 products have testified to the entire world that the products have met the minimum requirements and standard specifications.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Hajiya Maryam Abubakar, applauded the efforts of SON for scrutinising the standardisation of their products.
