Fun-seekers, mostly Muslim youngsters celebrating Eid-el-Fitr festival, were stranded at the gates of some recreational centres and parks as officials enforce ban on such facilities as part of new COVID-19 control measures.
National Incident Manager, Presidential Steering Committee on COVID-19, Mukhtar Muhammad, had announced the ban on Monday as part of new restrictions contained in phase four of the COVID-19 restrictions guidelines.

A Daily Trust reporter, who went round the city centre Wednesday, observed that key parks and similar facilities had locked out visitors who came from far and near to breath out as is the norm during such celebrations.
At Millennium Park, located on Shehu Shagari Way, tens of fun-seekers were seen wearing forlorn faces, loitering around in small groups, as visitors were barred from both the park and the Unity Fountain ground, on the other side of the road.
While the gate of the park was partly opened, workers were on ground to turn back visiting celebrants.
Taxi drivers were however seen ferrying the disappointed fun-seekers to Jabi Lake, another park located on the other side of the city.
