As Muslims observed Eid-el-filtr, taders selling items at the Benin Eid praying ground, located on the Murtala Muhammed way, yesterday made brisk business.
The traders, who sell shoes caps, yoghurts, perfumes clothing, mats, beverages and other items said they are grateful to God for giving them money to celebrate Sallah.
A trader, Musa Muhammed, who sells perfumes said he has made good money within a very short period due to the Sallah festival.
According to him, within three hours he has sold over 10 pieces of perfume, adding that he usually battle to sell such numbers in a days.
“I thank God for today’s business and May Allah sustain my life to witness another Sallah”

Another trader, Aliyu Usman, who sells shoes said he has made some money to celebrate Sallah.
“Last eat’s Sallah, I made good money, so I decided to bring my goods to the Eid praying ground today
“With three hours, I made N8,000, so the business is good today. I hardly made this ordinary day and I thank Allah for this”
Also speaking,Saliu Idris who sell biscuit, chocolate and sweet said expressed gratitude to Allah for good sales
“I came to the Eid ground around 8am and within two hour, I made N6000. I have to appreciate God in everything and stop complaining of poor sales .
“Mr. Idris however said if every other day is like today, no trader would be complaining low patronage”
Another Adamu Kano who sells men and women garments (jalabiya) trader and prayer mats, thank God for the day’s sales.
“I appreciate God for today because of the money I made today. I came here by 7:30 am and by 10 am, I made over N10,000”.
“Many people don’t come to the mosque with prayer mat and they have to buy from us. God is really faithful and has given us something to celebrate Sallah.
