Thirteen people have been reportedly killed in a road accident that occurred along Kutugi-Bida road in Niger State.

It was also learnt that 12 other people sustained various degrees of injuries while those who died in the crash were three female adults and eight male adults.

It was gathered that the crashed happened when a commercial Bus with Registration Number ZUR 690XA heading to Lagos had a head-on collision with a Daf Trailer with registration number FUN272XA returning from Lagos after Panti Village along Kutigi-Bida road.

The Niger state, FRSC Public Relations Officer, (PRO), Raji Egigogo said that the probable cause of the crash includes fatigue, over speeding and overloading.

He said that the injured were taken to the Federal Medical Center Bida and the General hospital Kutigi while the dead have been deposited at the general hospital morgue, Kutigi.
