The House of Representatives has promised to give the necessary support to ensure accurate and timely release of funds for the completion of projects at the Federal School of Medical Laboratory Technology, Jos, Plateau State.

This was the submission of Hon. Dr. Paschal Chigozie Obi, the chairman, House Committee on Health Services today during an oversight function at the institution where they were received by its provost, Dr. Sunday Obong Etukudoh.

The School, founded in 1954 in Lagos was relocated to Jos in 1978 and academic activities commenced same year at its temporary location along Murtala Mohammed Way. The contract for the building of a permanent site was awarded in 1983, unfortunately, the gigantic project had been abandoned.

Since its establishment, the institution got its legal backing under the leadership of the current Provost, Dr. Etukudoh in 2018. However, no take-off grant has been given to the institution.
