The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has sensitised residents of Niger State to patronise its products.
The agency revealed that it had produced Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) cars and tricycles to lithium batteries, solar-powered streetlights, solar irrigation pump, modern laptops, and telecommunications gadgets but required full patronage from Nigerians to be able to produce more.
The Brand Ambassador of the Scientific Equipment Development Institute (SEDI), Minna office, a subsidiary of the NASENI, Shuaibu Adamu who led the sensitisation and advocacy in Minna, the Niger State capital underscored the importance of purchasing and adopting Indigenous Innovated scientific equipment to achieving a self-reliant Nigeria.
“The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), under the leadership of its Executive Vice Chairman/CEO, Mr. Khalil Suleiman Halilu, has set an example in the pursuit of innovation and technological advancement in Nigeria aimed to promote local content, industrial growth, and economic independence.
“NASENI has made significant strides in the development of groundbreaking products including the production of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) cars and tricycles to lithium batteries, solar-powered streetlights, solar irrigation pump, modern laptops, and telecommunication gadgets. NASENI’s achievements are nothing short of inspiring.
“Supporting NASENI’s innovations is not just about buying a product; it is a bold step toward national development, job creation, and technological empowerment”, he said.
Adamu said the innovations were tailored towards meeting the needs of Nigerians while reducing dependence on foreign made equipment.
He said to successfully develop over 34 products is a testament to the dedication and ingenuity driving NASENI’s mission.
“By purchasing NASENI’s locally made products, you empower Nigerian engineers, scientists, and manufacturers. This will create jobs, reduce poverty, and strengthen the local economy.
“NASENI’s products are designed with Nigerians in mind. Their affordability and accessibility make them ideal for grassroots communities and urban centers alike,” Adamu added.
