A suspected motorcycle thief has been lynched by irate mob at Unguwar Yimi in Zuba, Gwagwalada Area Council of the FCT.
A witness, Garba Shehu, said the incident happened on Sunday, around 5:47 pm at Unguwar Yimi in the area.
He said the suspect allegedly stole a motorcycle belonging to one Saleh after inflicting serious injuries on him and escaped.
He said a resident, who saw the suspect, raised an alarm, saying the suspect upon discovering that he is being wanted, escaped to Unguwar Yimi.

“After inflicting injuries on the owner of the motorcycle and escaped, some youth at Zuba were informed about it. And as nemesis will catch up with him, the suspect was arrested at Unguwar Yimi with the bike when mobs descended on him,” he said.
He said the suspect was allegedly killed by the mob, who used hard objects on him, even as he said the mob later disappeared before security men arrived the scene.
The spokeswoman for the FCT Police Command, SP Josephine Adeh, said she would find out about the incident and get back to our reporter.
