Nigerdock, a Nigerian maritime and logistics company, has handed over multimillion naira educational facilities and other projects to Igbologun community in Amuwo Odofin LGA of Lagos State.

The facilities are blocks of classrooms, computers; biology, physics and chemistry laboratories, corps members’ lodge, library, police post, one and half kilometre of tarred roads, among others.

The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Nigerdock, Maher Jamakani, noted that the gesture followed the peaceful coexistence between the firm and the host community.

He said, “At Nigerdock, we believe that what is good for the communities is good for us, and what is good for Nigerdock will be, in turn, a benefit for the communities.

“We share the same aspirations in prosperity, health and security in the bright future for youths. This new junior and secondary school has been designed, built and fitted with the capacity for over 800 students to the highest standards as recommended by the Lagos State Government.”

He assured the community of stable power supply to the facilities, adding that the firm remained committed to the development of the community.
