Cordros Asset Management Company, has educated students of Corona Junior Secondary on financial literacy and how to make proper investments as part of its financial literacy initiative.
Executive Director at Cordros Capital Limited, Femi Ademola, said the annual event, which started in 2022 is aimed at exposing future leaders to financial and investment intricacies.
While noting that the event was part of the efforts to commemorate the Children’s Day celebration in Nigeria, he said the company intended to catch the children at a younger age to understand the value of money and investment and the importance of savings.
The Managing Director, Cordros Asset Management, Gbolaham Aina, said when people are properly informed about investment, they would be able to make wise decisions, noting that many people had lost a lot of money due to poor knowledge of investment.
“So we believe that this is also an avenue to educate the youths. This is part of our financial literacy initiative. In the past, we used to go to the university so now we said, let’s go to primary schools to commemorate Children’s Day.”
