Sunday Ojo, a teenage armed robbery suspect, nickednamed ‘Oyenusi’, who escaped from a juvenile home has been re-arrested by the operatives of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, codenamed Amotekun Corps.

City & Crime reports that ‘Oyenusi’ is a notorious robbery suspect, whose real name is Ishola Oyenusi, who is alleged to also have terrorised the people of Lagos and other neighbouring cities.

Ishola Oyenusi and his notorious gang of six were highly skilled in snatching cars, robbing banks, factories, and stores, and killing people like chickens in the 1070s.

Ojo was first arrested by operatives of the Amotekun Corps alongside two others nicknamed after notorious armed robbers for robbery at Ijare In Ifedore Local Government Area of the state.

The two include; Timileyin Femi, aka ‘Anini’, 13, and Matti Lowe, aka ‘Osunbo’,16.

The trio were immediately sent to the juvenile home for rehabilitation.

In an interview with journalists after his second arrest, Ojo revealed that he had participated in over 40 robbery operations in the state.

He, however, blamed the evil spirit for his action, pleading that he was ready to turn a new leaf.

“l have lost count of the robbery operations I have been involved in. But they can’t be fewer than 40,” he added.

The Ondo State Commander of the Amotekun Corps, Mr Adetunji Adeleye, said Ojo was among over 30 suspects arrested in different locations of the state a few weeks back.

Mr Adeleye explained that the suspect, who escaped from a juvenile home in Akure, was arrested by the operatives of the corps for the second time.

He said Ojo was apprehended for burglary and stealing.

“We have re-arrested a juvenile robber, who adopted the name of notorious Nigerian armed robber, ‘Oyenusi’. The boy was arrested three years ago and taken to juvenile for illegal possession of firearms and robbery.

“At that time, he was 13 years. The best we could do was to hand him over to a juvenile and see if he could be rehabilitated.”
