The police in Ondo State, on Thursday, arraigned three suspects before a magistrates’ court sitting in Oke Eda in Akure over allegedly stealing rustling goats in different locations.
The suspects, Bukola Adeniyi Keko (36), Oladele Obone (34) and Odunayo Ojo (30), said to be “Asun sellers”, were facing a four-count charge of felony, conspiracy, stealing and conducting themselves in a manner likely to cause a breach of peace.
The prosecutor, Taiwo Oniyere, told the court that the trio conspired with others at large to steal the goats and suffocate them by putting them in a car trunk.
Clement Falana, the defense counsel, prayed the court to grant his clients bail.

The Magistrate, Temilola Olusola-Olujobi, granted the defendants bail in the sum of N500,000 each with two sureties each in like sum and adjourned to July 30.
