Suspected bandits have killed six people in separate attacks on communities in Kaduna and Bauchi states.
Two farmers were killed on their farmland in the Iyatawa area of Igabi Local Government Area, Zaria, Kaduna State, by some gunmen suspected to be bandits.
A family source said the victims, who were residents of Kofar Jatau in Zaria city, had gone to their farm to plant some crops when the bandits struck, killed two of them and kidnapped three others.

Daily Trust Saturday learnt that those killed were Alhaji Mustapha Lawal and Bello Lawal.
It was also gathered that Alhaji Lawal Kofar Jatau, their father, had narrowly escaped kidnap last rainy season on the same farmland but sustained severe injuries.
In another incident, gunmen suspected to be kidnappers, on Thursday night attacked Jamari Sabuwa communities in Alkaleri Local Government Area in Baichi State, killing four people and injured three others.
The chairman of Alkaleri Local Government, Yusuf Garba, confirmed the incident on Friday in Bauchi.
He said the bandits went to the village to abduct the head, Jauro Banu, but when people raised the alarm, they abandoned their mission and fled.
The chairman said the kidnappers came through a forest bordering Taraba, Gombe and Plateau states.
Our correspondent gathered from the locals that the affected communities were Tudun Wadan, Jada, old Jamari, Sabuwa, Garin, Jauro Bano.
A resident of the area, Muhammad Usman, told our correspondent that the attackers arrived the community around 11:45 Thursday night.
Police authorities are yet to release an official statement on the attack as the command’s spokesperson, Mohammed Ahmed Wakil, promised to get back to our correspondent when we received information.
