5 in police net for vandalising vehicles in Ikeja

Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested five miscreants, Oluwasegun Oluwafemi (28), Ahmed Kayode (30), Benedict Kayme (29), Popoola Afeez (30) and Patrick Oleka (28), for vandalising vehicles parked along the road in the Oregon area of Ikeja.

Lagos State police spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, said their arrest followed a distress call that was received by the commander in charge of RRS about the activities of miscreants along the road.

Hundeyin said RRS operatives then stormed the area where they saw miscreants harassing and threatening car owners invited to parties in Billingsway, Oregun and Ikeja.
