We’ll resist imposition of presidential candidate in APC – Ayati

“Any attempt to reduce APC to the AC or ACN image shall be resisted. I urged all democrats in our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) to ignore recent campaign of calumny by paid communist in some national dailies. According to these forces, they already have a presidential candidate for APC and it is their duty to force the choice on the generality of the party members.
“It is unfortunate and also too late for them. APC today is a different party from AC or ACN which was ran like a chartered company where the owner used to issue charter license to powerful individuals in states to do what they like with it.
“The APC is a party collectively owned, where structures from ward to national levels were democratically elected and put in place. All members were registered same period on the 18th of February, 2014, meaning that, all members have equal opportunities in the party since they all joined the party same time,” he said.
He added that: “I myself was a foundation member of the AC which I carried its flag in the Benue State governorship election in 2007. But in 2013, when it was ACN, I was forced to leave because of the undemocratic charter company like the attitude of leadership. I had to come back to APC because it was a better organized political party and not a charter company.”
