Witnesses who testified before the Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal in Lafia have said votes of the All Progressives Congress (APC) were shortchanged during the March 18, 2033 governorship election in the state.

The witnesses, who hail from Keffi and Nasarawa Local Government Areas of the state, gave their testimonies when they appeared before the tribunal in Lafia.

Habibu Ahmadu, Ibrahim Danlami Umar, Abdulkadir Adamu Jibrin, Oduwa Sabo, Ibrahim Sabo Yahaya and Aminu Kaika Egah from Nasarawa LGA told the tribunal that the March 18 governorship election was conducted peacefully in their various polling units.

They maintained that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) presiding officers used BVAS machines to authenticate voters as well as uploaded results to iReV after the conclusion of the exercise.

However, the witnesses said there were irregularities in their various ward collation levels, alleging that the scores of their party, APC, were reduced while those of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) were inflated, saying, they separately complained to the INEC Ward Collation Officers but their complaints were not attended to.

Other witnesses who testified also alleged that APC votes were reduced.
