TMA harps on technology for business development

Dr. Steve Ogidan has emerged as the New President of a Business Professional Group, Turnaround Management Association, TMA.

Speaking in Abuja while taking over the mantle of leadership of the Association, Dr. Steve Ogidan called for efficient management of petroleum processes towards addressing challenges in the sector.

Dr. Ogidan who threw his weight behind fuel subsidy removal said if Dangote refinery is able to get enough crude in Nigeria, the country would be able to reduce the cost of fuel by 35 percent because the cost implications of importing it would be out of it.

He also stressed the need for the resuscitation of the nation’s ailing refineries towards improving the country’s oil industry.

According to him, the Turnaround Management Association, TMA, is the global leader in the field of business turnaround and corporate renewal, with over 10,000 members across 54 chapters worldwide and its chapter, TMA-NIG, has continuously strived to uphold the highest standard of professionalism and excellence, playing a critical role in guiding organisations through challenging times.

He said: “At TMA-NIG, we are committed to building on our global association’s legacy by providing Nigerian professionals and businesses with the skills, resources, and support needed to address these evolving challenges”.

“I want to share some key initiatives that will define our roadmap as we chart a new course for TMA-Nigeria which includes: Capacity building and professional development, enhancing collaboration and partnerships, innovation and technology in turnaround management among others.”

While calling for effective public private sector collaboration in business development, Dr. Ogidan said TMA, under his leadership, would partner with the necessary stakeholders towards enhancing business management in the country.
