Tinubu relies on you to actualise policy, Defence Chief tells intelligence officers

The Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Christopher Musa, has said that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu relies on military intelligence officers, given the crucial role they play in advancing agenda for national stability and poverty alleviation.

He also said the president was determined to change the status quo and lift many Nigerians out of poverty, adding that addressing the issues of insecurity was essential to achieving that.

Musa, who was represented by the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, stated this yesterday while speaking at the closing ceremony of the Chief of Defence Intelligence Annual Conference.

He called on military intelligence officers to intensify efforts in the fight against insecurity, saying it was the only way to be ahead of criminals terrorising some parts if the country.

Earlier, the Chief of Defence Intelligence, Maj.-Gen. Emmanuel Undiandeye, urged military officers to embrace collaboration, cooperation and defence diplomacy to achieve the nation’s security objectives.
