The APC standard bearer who spoke through Governor Yahaya Bello assured that if elected as president next year, the people of the state will get what is due to them.
While he urged those affected by this year’s water flood in the state to see the natural disaster as an act of God, he said the voice and demands of Kogi people would be heard loud and clear, not only in the campaign council but also in the incoming APC administration.
Tinubu added that he will build on the successes of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration, stressing that he “Would work assiduously to confront security, revamp the economy, target double-digit GDP, increase megawatts of electricity to power the industries, businesses and homes, as well as empower the people through the creation of jobs, affordable loans and mortgages”.
He appreciated the tumultuous crowd that trooped into Lokoja, from all over Kogi State to demonstrate support and solidarity for him and his running-mate, Senator Kashim Shettima.
Governor Bello, who had mobilised over 20,000 Kogites from across the state to receive the APC presidential candidate at Muhammadu Buhari Square, said that efforts to bring a lasting solution to the annual flooding will be carried out if Asiwaju Bola Tinubu becomes the president of the country next year.
