The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has distributed relief materials to 37,000 households of flood victims in Borno State.
The Deputy Director, Human Resources, Muhammed Kanar, presented the items yesterday on behalf of the NEMA Director General, Mustapha Habib Ahmed in Maiduguri.
Kanar said the items were meant to cushion the effects of the recent flood on victims and the vulnerable.
In her remarks, the Director General, Borno State Emergency Management Agency, Hajiya Ya Bawa Kolo commended President Muhammadu Buhari and NEMA for their prompt support to the state.
She said the gesture would go a long way in alleviating the sufferings of the victims, saying the 2022 flood affected about 37,000 households in the state.
