Also, the traditional ruler of Imushin land, Oba Taiwo Adebunmi Bamgbose yesterday, led other chiefs to perform traditional rites to stop the carnage, which the monarch described as ‘monumental’.
The Special Unit of the Mobile Force from Abeokuta, which number could not be ascertained, had arrived Imushin, with a Armour Personnel Carrier (APC). One of the police personnel told Daily Trust, "We have been left to face these boys on empty stomachs. We arrived here on Sunday, and apart from the N500 given to us on Monday, nothing since then. Sometimes when we talk, they say, officer is not supposed to talk. But, thank God, someone like you can come down here to see things for yourself."
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Ogun State Command, Muyiwa Adejobi said he was not aware of the complaint. “Nobody has complained to me about their welfare. I am not aware,” he said.
