A former Senate spokesperson, Ayogu Eze has passed on.
Eze, who represented Enugu North in the National Assembly between 2007 and 2015, reportedly passed away yesterday in Abuja at the age of 65 as a result of an undisclosed illness.
The deceased, a founding member of the Peoples Democratic Part (PDP) during his years at the Senate, served as the Chairman, Senate Committee on Works.
He also served as member of committees on Constitutional Amendment, Police Affairs, National Planning, Marine Transport and Federal Character and Inter-Government Affairs.

In May last year, the Senate confirmed the appointment of Senator Eze and five others as Federal Commissioners in the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).
Meanwhile, President Bola Tinubu has extended his condolences to the Eze family over the passing of Senator Eze.
The president also condoled with the friends, associates, and former colleagues of the deceased, including the National Assembly as an institution.
President Tinubu prayed to God Almighty to grant repose to the soul of the departed and comfort to those in mourning.
