The Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has urged the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) to support candidates who have filed cases at the election petition tribunals across the country to enable them win.
Addressing a joint press conference on Tuesday in Abuja, Secretary of the Directorate of Agro and Commodities of the council, Retson Tedheke, said it was disturbing that nobody was talking about the party’s candidates in court.
Many candidates of the APC and other parties who are dissatisfied with the outcomes of the February 25, and March 18, general elections are challenging the outcomes at various tribunals.
Tedheke said, “For many frontline and dedicated members of the party who contested for various elective positions but were denied victory; we are asking that the party stand strong for them to ensure that they reclaim their stolen mandates without further delay, especially in the prosecution of their cases before the election petition tribunals.

“I must admit that it is really disturbing to see that nobody is speaking for our candidates who were out rightly rigged out through vote suppression, intimidation of voters and obvious manipulation of elections results, especially our women who have sacrificed so much for the party and gave their best to it during the campaigns.
“While we commend the recent steps taken by some leaders of the party during the Adamawa elections to protect Senator Binani’s votes, we want to see more of this action.”
