A three-day summit aimed at bringing women and children issues to the front burner of national discourse will on Wednesday, November 27 kicked off in Abuja.
The conference, tagged “WOMANIFESTO ‘19” and organised by the National Women’s Dialogue (NWD), is to bring women together to dialogue and come up with a charter of demand on issues affecting women and children in the country, the Communication Chair, NWD 2019, Mary Ikoku, said.
According to her, the event, billed to hold at the National Centre for Women Development (NCWD), Abuja from November 27 to 29, will utilise the hashtag, #TheNigeriaWomenWant, “to push home our demands” on social media.
“Delegates will be drawn from women groups, collectives, civil societies, entrepreneurs, professionals, social media influencers and women within the labour work force among others,” she added.
