Soldiers have dislodged bandits and rescued an abducted woman, Mrs Hauwa Ummi, and her two children, Sadiya Abubakar and Idirs Abubakar, in Janjala community in Kagarko LGA of Kaduna State.
City & Crime reports that bandits, a week ago, invaded Janjala and abducted the woman and her two kids.
A relative of the woman, Saleh Adamu, who confirmed the rescue of the victims through telephone to our reporter on Sunday, said the rescue was carried out through a combined effort of the army and vigilantes from Kagarko town.
He said the soldiers and the vigilantes raided the bandits’ camp in the forest between Kachia and Kagarko on Saturday and engaged the bandits in a gun battle before rescuing the victims.
