The chairman of National Rescue Movement (NRM), Sokoto state Chapter , Alhaji Sabo Muhammad on Thursday said his party has formed an alliance with the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The move, he said, was in recognition of the achievements of President Muhammadu Buhari, in the last four years.
He added that it was facilitated by the performance of Senator Wamakko as a Governor of the state between 2007 and 2015, and , as the incumbent Senator representing Sokoto North Senatorial District.
He revealed this during a visit to the Coordinator, North West, Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko in Sokoto.
A statement by Wamakko’s media aide, Bashir Rabe Mani, said Muhammad assured that the leadership and membership of the NRM in the state would work in favour of APC candidates at all levels.
In his remark, Senator Aliyu Wamakko asserted that they would be carried along in all the activities of the APC.
He added that they would be treated fairly.
