Shekarau commends Fashola on revenue generation

Shekarau gave the commendation when he received Fashola at the State Government House yesterday. He said Fashola’s ability to put in place mechanisms of revenue generation and ability to judiciously manage the generated revenue is incredible and exemplary.

He said the visit will further strengthen the relationship between the two states which share a number of unique features. Shekarau said the two states are competing in terms of population, commercial activities and are both ruled by opposition parties.

Speaking earlier, Fashola said he was in the state to honour the invitation to chair the pre-convocation lecture of Bayero University Kano. He said he was impressed by the infrastructural development projects taking place within the Kano metropolis.

Fashola said the development taking place in Lagos and Kano States is an indication that the two states are among the few in the country where true democracy is prevailing.
