Kano State Government has earmarked N3.2bn for the rehabilitation and construction of more classrooms in public schools across the state.
The initiative was meant to provide adequate classes for students to observe social distancing in line with the COVID-19 protocol when schools eventually resumed.
The executive Chairman, State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Dr Danlami Hayo disclosed this in a remark at a one-day sensitisation workshop organized by UNICEF to prepare the 44 local government Areas’ School-Based Management Committees (SBMCs) ahead of the school resumption.
