A justice of the Supreme Court, Justice Helen Moronkeji Ogunwumiju has said that laymen are often discouraged when they see clergymen bringing their differences to court for settlement.

 Justice Helen Moronkeji Ogunwumiju, stated this during a chat with newsmen at the just concluded two-day event on law and religion: the role of the state, which took place at the University of Lagos, Akoka, Yaba.

The programme was organised by the West African Regional Center for Law and Religion Studies (WARCLARS), African Consortium for Law and Religion Studies (ACLARS) and International Center for Law and Religion Studies (ICLRS) in collaboration with the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Ikeja and Lagos branches.
