Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has extended his Easter greetings to the Christian community in the state, urging for continued interfaith harmony and lasting peace.
In a statement on Saturday by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, Governor Radda conveyed his warm wishes to all Christians celebrating Easter, a festive period commemorating the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
He acknowledged the significance of the occasion and its message of hope and renewal.
Governor Radda stressed the importance of peaceful coexistence between Muslims and Christians in Katsina and called for continued understanding and tolerance, stressing that both faith promote the values of love, compassion, and forgiveness.
The governor specifically urged Christians to use this Easter season as an opportunity to pray for lasting peace in Katsina. He acknowledged the security challenges faced by the state and called for unity in overcoming them.
“Together as people of faith, we can defeat the forces of evil that threatens our communities,” the governor said.
“Let us embrace the spirit of Easter and work together to build a more peaceful and prosperous Katsina for all,” he added.
