Muslims in Jos, the Plateau State capital have been urged to imbibe the core Islamic values to enable them practice the religion efficiently.
The call was made at the closing ceremony of the 37th edition of Qur’anic Recitation Competition, held at the Jos Central Mosque.

Prof. Ahmad Haruna of the Department of Religious Studies and Philosophy, University of Jos, who was the guest speaker at the event said good education entails inculcating in children the true teachings of Qur’an and core Islamic values.
At least 150 males and females’ reciters of the Qur’an participated in the week-long completion.
