Police raid hideouts in Lagos, arrest 43 suspects

Operatives of the Lagos State Rapid Response Squad (RRS) on Thursday arrested 43 suspects in an all-night raid of notorious spots in Oshodi and its environs. 

The police spokesperson in Lagos, Benjamin Hundeyin, said, “A pistol was recovered in Opebi, Ikeja, when the Commander of RRS, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, deployed a team from the squad to verify information received from members of the public. Also recovered during the discreet operation are two 9mm calibre ammunition and one expended ammunition.

“The 43 suspects are those found culpable after a thorough screening of all arrested suspects. They are to be charged to court immediately.”
