Group urges Ekiti govt, police to rescue abducted don

Twenty days after his abduction from his house in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, many groups and associations have called on the Ekiti State Government and the state police command to rescue a retired Deputy Vice Chancellor (DVC) from the Ekiti State University (EKSU), Professor Femi Olaofe, and his security man from the hands of his abductors who are demanding a N50 million ransom from his family members.

City & Crime learnt that the don was abducted 20 days after he returned from Lagos where he went to visit his children.

A group, Are- Ekiti Development Association (ÀŔEDAA), called on the Ekiti State Police Command to do everything possible to secure the release of the don.

The Commissioner of Police (CP), Mr Akinwale Adeniran, said the command had commenced an investigation into the matter.
