It was gathered that the suspect broke into the apartment of one of the youth leaders in the area, Kabiru, after vandalizing the window burglary proof, while the latter had left for work.

The suspect then hid himself in the ceiling and stabbed three other youths who attempted to go after him until he was overpowered.

“He, however, escaped during the process and was about to run into their house not far from the scene when he was caught and seriously beaten and with blood all over his body.

“Despite that, his mother passed out because he was about to be burnt alive but the police arrived and arrested him,” Adeoye added.

The spokesman of the state police command, Ejire-Adeyemi Adetoun, confirmed the incident on Tuesday, stating that the suspect was still in their custody undergoing investigation, and that “he will be charged to court once we are done.”
