The Bauchi state oolice command has arrested five suspected miscrannts, including an 18-year-old girl for criminal conspiracy, armed robbery, receiving stolen property, and causing grievous hurt around Yelwa axis of Bauchi metropolis.

The Command Public Relations Officer,

SP Ahmed Mohammed Waki, who disclosed this in a statement, said  on the 13th of November, one Sani Abdullahi  aka Bamba together with Florence Jeremiah, his girlfriend connived and boarded an Okada from Awala area to Yelwan Kagadama behind the Jum’at mosque and  used a stick and hit the Okada rider on his forehead.

According to the statement, the girl confessed to have taken Okada from Awala roundabout to Yelwa area with the intention of snatching his motorcycle alongside her boyfriend. The prime suspect, Sani Abdullahi, who works as a carpenter, confessed to having masterminded plan and connived with his girlfriend, Florence to execute it.

The suspects arrested includes,

Umar Saidu aka Popo, 20 , Florence Jeremiah 18,  Sani Abdullahi aka Bamba 27, Bello Adamu aka Omata 19; and Adamu Musa aka Mai-anguwa 25, all of Yelwan Kagadama area.

Wakil said that investigation revealed that the said Sani Abdullahi had previously conspired with Umar Saidu, Adamu Musa, Bello Adamu, and three other suspects who are now at large to rob some people.

Wakil noted that the Commissioner of Police  has directed thorough investigations.
