Ogun gets fourth CP in 6 months

 

Abiodun Alamutu has been deployed as the new Commissioner of Police in Ogun State.

He is the fourth commissioner to man Ogun Police Command between January and June, 2023.

In February, a former Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), Frank Mba, replaced Lanre Bankole who was moved to the Force Headquarters, Abuja.

Mba upon his promotion as the Assistant Inspector General of Police, he was replaced by Oladimeji Olanrewaju as the CP in the state.

And barely two months after his arrival, Olanrewaju was promoted to the position of AIG, paving way for Alamutu as the new CP.

Alamutu was the Deputy Commissioner of Police Department of Administration and Finance Ogun State Command in 2019, a position he held till his promotion to the rank of Commissioner of Police and his posting to Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command on June 30.
