Green Future Youths and Women Skills Empowerment and Advancement Initiative (GIYEAI) is set to empower widows and youths in Daki Biyu, Jabi, Abuja, with skills to help them become self-reliant.

President of the initiative,  Comrade Jude Uchechi, who made this known during the flag off of the empowerment scheme at the weekend at  St Joseph’s Catholic Church, Daki-Biyu, said capacity building for young persons, widows and young women below 50 years in skills would be at the centre of the initiative.

He said the vocational training was tailored to improve the living standard of the vulnerable and enhance the growth of society.

“We want to impact lives to eliminate suffering, to reduce hunger to zero level and to make sure that unemployment will become a thing of the past, and also to unlock human potentials, create a world where the diversity of life thrives and liberate humanity from mind captivity to live in economic recovery, dignity and security,” he explained.

He further said at least 3,000 people would benefit from the empowerment which commenced on Friday May 221, 2011, and would end on July 17, 2021, with a grand finale on Sunday, July 18, 2021, at ABC Transport Plc. Utako.

He said the GIYEAI training centre would be set up where  the vulnerable would be trained in tailoring, milling, liquid soap, hand sanitisers, disinfectants like Izal and dettols; deodorants, production of vaseline, drilling, among others.
