NCDC develops 2-year road map for health security

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC) has developed a roadmap to ensure effective health security implementation in the country.

The Director General of the NCDC, Dr Jide Idris made the disclosure Tuesday during a news briefing in Abuja.

Health security involves activities and measures across sovereign boundaries that mitigate public health incidents to ensure the health of populations.

Idris said the road map will shore up prevention, detection, surveillance and preparedness and response.
