The Nasarawa State Police Command said it has received uniforms and other materials from the outlawed Kungiyar Zaman Lafia Nomad Vigilante group.

Police spokesman, Ramhan Nansel, in a statement on Sunday, said the command received 267 pairs of uniforms, 102 pieces of black belts and 189 pieces of infantry lanyards from the group.

The state government had proscribed ethnic vigilante groups.

The police thereafter asked the affected groups to surrender all the weapons, uniforms and other kits in their possession within two weeks from the day the proscription was announced.
