The Kebbi State branch of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) on Monday said the implementation of N75,000 minimum wage for state workers was timely and commendable.
The state Chairman of IPAC, Ibrahim Muhammed, in Birnin Kebbi, described the swift implementation as timely given the prevailing economic situation in the country caused by the removal of fuel subsidies.
He said the implementation didn’t come as a surprise to the teaming civil servants in the state because of the state governor’s track records in unionism and his stand for the rights of workers as a former labour leader.
He added that the new minimum wage was a promise kept and a demonstration of the resolve of the administration to evenly share the state coffers with all the citizens
