Man remanded for beating wife in Kano

A Kano State Sharia court sitting at Filin Hockey in Kano metropolis has ordered the remand of a man, Abdullahi Muhammad, in a correctional facility for molesting his wife.

Earlier, the wife reported at the police division in Gwale LGA that her husband molested and beat her to a pulp.

But following his prosecution in the court, the accused denied the allegations, and his lawyer, Umar I. Umar, prayed the court to grant him bail.

However, the prosecution counsel, Barr Dandago, objected to the bail prayer.
