The police on Thursday brought a 30-year-old man, John Timothy, before an Iyaganku magistrates’ court, Ibadan, Oyo State, for allegedly stealing N1.2 million from a dead man’s bank account.

The prosecutor, Insp Olalekan Adegbite, told the court that the defendant between May 17, 2021, and July 21, 2021, stole N1.2m from the Access Bank account of one late Mr Johnson David.

Adegbite told the court that the son of the deceased, Mr Daniel David, discovered the theft.

The Magistrate, Mrs Oluwabusayo Osho, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case to May 7. (NAN)
