Men of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have arrested a 23-year-old suspected kidnapper and rustler terrorising Abaji Area Council of the FCT, Nasarawa and Toto LGAs of Nasarawa State.

Parading the suspect at the command’s headquarters in Lafia, the spokesman of the corps in the state, Jerry Victor, said the suspect, Tukur Mohammed, was apprehended in Tsafe LGA of Zamfara State.

He said the suspect had been under the corps’ radar for quite some time, noting that his gang had so far rustled over 50 cattle.

He further said the suspect told the command that he got four cattle as his share and sold them for N30,000 each to a butcher in Nasarawa LGA.

He added that the suspect also confessed to have, alongside his gang members, kidnapped one Mallam Ibrahim in Toto LGA and demanded N10m ransom, and that they collected N1m that was found in their victim’s car.
