Man arrested for stabbing court clerk to death in Yola

A 43-year-old man, identified as Linus Dimas, who resides in Kugama Wuro Jibir, Mayo Belwa Local Government Area of Adamawa State, has been apprehended by operatives of the state police command.

The suspect allegedly refused to accept a court summons served on him by Yauba Usman, a staff member of Nasarawo Jereng Area Court. In a tragic turn of events, however, the suspect reportedly stabbed Usman multiple times with a knife, causing him severe injuries.

After being rushed to the hospital, the court clerk later died.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Sulaiman Nguroje, made this known in a press statement on Tuesday.
