The Association of Landlords in Oluwo Gate community, Oke-Aro, Ogun State, yesterday, commenced the dismantling of shops at the Oluwo Gate to make more room for vehicles to move freely.
Oke-Aro is one of the Lagos-Ogun border towns where many people who work in Lagos reside.

There had been several complaints from residents over the state of the roads in the community. Residents said that most of the roads and some in parts of Iju were too narrow for seamless traffic.
The move by the landlords came after an accident that claimed the life of one of the residents on Tuesday.
A witness explained that a tipper conveying sand ran into a line of shops and in the process claimed the life of a popular pepper vendor and injured two others.
Following the accident, there was tension in the community, with rumours of a fight among hoodlums.
However, residents confirmed that peace had returned in the area, adding that the owners of the shops were duly notified before the landlords began the dismantling exercise.
