Lagos man charged with stealing of foodstuff

A 23-year-old man, Suleiman Shonibare, on Wednesday appeared before an Ojo magistrates’ court in Lagos State for allegedly stealing a bag of rice and other food items.

The prosecutor, Insp Esther Adesulu, told the court that on July 5, at Abule Ado in Ojo the defendant stole a bag of rice, semolina, 35 litres of vegetable oil, among other items, from the complainant, Mrs Kafayat Qadri.

The Magistrate, Mrs D. S. Odukoya, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case to August 17. (NAN)
