A man has been arrested by for allegedly stealing a bag of groundnuts in Unguwar Gaskiya in Abaji Area Council of the FCT.
A resident, Isiyaka Adamu, said the incident happened around 9am on Saturday when the suspect went to a neighbour’s house and removed the bag of groundnuts.
He said the owner of the groundnuts had arranged three bags waiting for a tricycle to take them to the market.

He further said, “It was a neighbour that saw the suspect carrying the bag of groundnuts who raised the alarm. A mob gave the suspect a hot chase and he was apprehended and handed over to vigilantes.

The spokeswoman of the FCT Police Command, SP Josephine Adeh, could not be reached for comment on the incident.
